At Healthy Bean, we know how important it is to play our part to support our communities and contribute to making the world a better place, especially during such a difficult time of uncertainty. In line with our company ethos in taking meaningful steps to add social value – beyond working to reduce our environmental impact – we are proud to announce that as part of our Social Initiative Scheme we have donated over 350,000 Face Masks – Surgical and KN95 Masks – and 200,000 Disposable Gloves to 11 charitable organizations across the UK and Europe, including support for the Ukraine Aid, Care Homes, Churches and Homeless Shelters:

  • 182,000 Surgical Masks to Boxes of Hope for the Ukraine Aid – Boxes of Hope is a charity organisation based in England that is distributing needed items to refugees in Ukraine and those coming to the UK.
  • 85,000 Masks and 200,000 Disposable Gloves to HTB Church – HTB Church is located in central London and is committed to social change and offering support to the most vulnerable. HTB Church will distribute the masks they received from Healthy Bean around other London Churches.
  • 80,000 Surgical Masks to Mission Care – Mission care provides residential, social, nursing and dementia care to vulnerable people across South London.
  • 2,000 Masks to Age UK Gateshead – Age UK Gateshead is an independent charity based in Gateshead and Newcastle and provides support to older people. The services they offer vary from social groups to mental health and dementia support.
  • 1,000 KN95 Face Masks to NICHE CBS – a supported housing organisation based in East Sussex providing 98 units of accommodation to people who are homeless or at risk of losing their tenancy. They support people to maintain their tenancies and develop the skills needed for those that are able to move on to independent accommodation.
  • 1,000 KN95 Face Masks to Islington Council, Homes and Neighbourhoods – It helps people finding a home and provides housing services, including repair and management, pay rent, housing development and involvement, private sector housing.
  • 1,000 KN95 Face Masks to Restore Church Boston – an Assemblies of Church working with homeless and vulnerable people, providing supported housing and also a hot food van providing free meals.
  • 1,000 KN95 Face Masks to Providence Row HA – a charitable housing association based in East London providing supported accommodation and homeless hostels services. They provide and manage c.500 social homes across Tower Hamlets, Hackney, and the City of London.
  • 1,000 KN95 Face Masks to Waltham Forest Churches Night Shelter Ltd – in partnership with local churches, they provide a shelter for homeless people in Waltham Forest. Volunteers serve and sit with homeless guests providing them with accommodation, food, and friendly company.
  • 1,000 KN95 Face Masks to Phoenix Futures – Regional Homeless Engagement Substance Treatment – a commissioned service operating across London working with people who are sleeping rough and who require support to access drug and alcohol treatment. 
  • 10 Digital Thermometers to BHT Sussex – an organisation with over 250 members of staff working across Sussex to provide support for rough sleepers, homes, specialist support services and legal advice.

Our Social Initiative Scheme is a prime example of how Healthy Bean can assist private and public organizations in delivering their social services and offering tangible support to contribute at both a national and international level.
